MUR 90 - This tool is used for measuring the height and side wear of different rail types. In addition, it measures also the directing surface wear value at 14 mm down from the plane determined by the running surface. The device can be easily attached to the rail base surface and fixes itself with magnets built into its sole part. Side touch is ensured by two bolts built into the sole part. Height dimension of the rail can be read from the vertical scale. Wear value of the directing surface is shown by the horizontal measuring scale as a difference from the theoretical value of the railtype. It has an aluminum frame, measuring rods made from stainless steel and 6 fixing magnets which attach the rail base. It is easy to use and it requires few steps to read out the measured value.
